Get to know me
If you’re here, you’re probably a little overwhelmed, a little tired, and just trying to keep everything together… same.
I’m the mom behind Messy Minded Motherhood — where life isn’t perfect, thoughts aren’t quiet, and motherhood definitely isn’t picture-perfect.

Why I started this blog
I’m a mom of four — all 7 and under — and my journey into motherhood didn’t just change my life… it changed my mind in ways I didn’t understand for a long time.
After I had my first baby, something felt off. I struggled in ways I couldn’t explain, but like so many women, it was quickly labeled as depression. And for years, that’s what I believed it was.
But deep down, I knew there was more to it.
It wasn’t until after I had my twins — my last babies — that I finally started getting real answers. At 25, seven years after becoming a mom, I was diagnosed with ADHD, PMDD, and OCD.
And suddenly… everything made sense.
All the overwhelm.
The racing thoughts.
The emotional highs and lows.
The mental exhaustion that never seemed to go away.
It wasn’t just “depression.”
It was years of being misunderstood — even by myself.
That realization changed everything for me.
It made me see not only how uneducated I was about mental health, but how uneducated so many of us are — especially when it comes to how much our brains change during pregnancy and postpartum.
And honestly? That’s not okay.
Because there are so many moms out here struggling, feeling lost, feeling like something is wrong with them… when really, they just haven’t been given the right information or support.
So here I am.
A mom of four, in the middle of the chaos, still learning, still growing — but now using my voice to help other mothers:
understand their minds
advocate for themselves
stop settling for being dismissed
and most importantly… to not give up
Because your “happy” is out there.
Even if it feels really far away right now.
