10 must-haves you NEED to survive the ballpark with toddlers

If you’re a baseball mom and you’ve got toddlers… just know you’re basically packing for a full-day event every single game.

Between keeping them entertained, fed, cool, and somewhat clean—it can feel like a lot. After many games of trial and error, I’ve finally figured out what actually makes ballpark days easier.

These are my must-haves right now:

1. A Toddler-Friendly Wagon You’ll Actually Use

I recently got the Jeep TurboGlyde wagon for my twins and I’m not exaggerating when I say it’s been a game changer!
I can load up everything—both kids, snacks, drinks, bags—and not have to make a million trips back and forth. It also makes getting from the car to the field so much easier.

I went back and forth for a while on which wagon to ultimately go with, but I loved that this one had a foot well (for extra feet space), and sun visors that could stay attached even when it folds up! That’s another thing too, this wagon is SO easy to fold up and unfold when getting it out or putting it away. I was genuinely surpised how light it is for the tremendous amount of quality it has. This has by far been my best purhcase of 2026 so far. Cannot forget that this wagon pushes super easily! I’ve probably had close to 100 pounds in this wagon between my toddlers, and all the gear/supplies I needed to bring from the car, and it still rolled super good! Very happy with the wheels and its ability to roll smoothly.

The BEST wagon to add to your wishlist

This isn’t the same exact wagon I have, because this one does not have the footwell, but it’s the closest thing I could find to the one I have on Amazon!

2. Spill-Proof Cups & Insulated Water Bottles for Hot Game Days

Cold drinks are a MUST at the ballpark, especially during warmer games.
I always bring insulated bottles for me and spill-proof cups for the kids so I’m not constantly refilling or dealing with spills.

This is the one I personally carry everywhere with me! It keeps your drink cold for HOURS, and I’ve dropped it several times and stayed in good condition! Highly recommended it!

Ello Insulated Water Bottle

I have one just like this in pink!

Zak cups for the kids

My kids love these cups!

3. Lightweight Fold-Up Chairs for Quick Seating Anywhere

Having lightweight chairs that are easy to grab in and out of the car is so important.
When you’re juggling kids and everything else, you don’t want anything complicated or heavy.

These are my favorite chairs to get on a budget for the ballpark! They’re cheap and comfortable, but you’ll likely have to buy a new one every season from the wear and tear of the baseball fields and games.

Ozark folding chairs

My go-tos!

If you’re willing to spend a little more money on a chair that will last you multiple seasons, I highly recommend the CGI fold up outdoor rocker! It’s a super high quality chair, that can rock and it’s also very light making it the perfect investment for those long days at the ballpark!

My all time favorite ball park chair!

4. A Clip-On Fan (This is a game changer in the heat!)

If you’re sitting out in the heat, this is one of those things you don’t think about until you really need it.
I love a clip-on fan because I can attach it to the wagon or a chair and keep the kids cool.

Portable fan for those hot ballpark days!

This has definitely come in handy when my toddlers are getting too hot at the ballpark

5. Kid Safe Sunscreen You Can Reapply Fast & Easy

Sunscreen is non-negotiable for long days at the field.
I personally like the Coppertone Pure & Simple because it’s gentle on my kids’ skin and easy to apply quickly before they run off.

Sunscreen is a must!

This sunscreen is budget friendly while also having mostly clean ingredients and gentle on little ones skins! I use this on myself and my kiddos.

6. Easy, Mess-Free Snacks for Toddlers

Snacks are honestly one of the most important things I bring. I usually portion everything out into snack-size Ziploc bags before we leave, or little 4 compartment bowls, it makes things so much easier during the game. And I’ve learned the hard way, if I don’t bring snacks for my toddlers to have during the game, I won’t get to watch any of the game… BRING THE SNACKS!!!

Some of my go-to toddler snacks:

  • Peanut butter crackers
  • Goldfish or Whales
  • Fruit snacks/gummies
  • Pretzels
  • Popcorn
  • Granola bars
  • Yogurt covered raisins

7. Baby Wipes (for literally everything)

Water Wipes

The best wipes to keep on hand!

I always try to make sure I don’t leave the house without wipes, especially when going to the ballpark! With messy-hands, bathrooms that may or may not have toilet paper, dirt on everything… wipes are a must!

8. Hand Sanitizer to Clean Hands Quickly

Let’s be real here… ballpark bathrooms are usually disgusting! Plus it’s hit or miss if they’ll have soap or not. That’s why I always carry hand sanitizer, for those moments the bathroom didn’t have soap and I’m worried about the germs my toddlers may have acquired while going to the bathroom…. Germ-X is definitely a must!

Hand sanitizer

I always keep these on hand!

9. Flavored Water Packets to Keep Everyone Hydrated

My kids will not drink plain water, so these are a lifesaver. We use True Lemon water flavor packets, and it’s the only way I can make sure they actually stay hydrated during games. These are my favorite flavor packets because they don’t have any idea or a ton of added sugar! These are about the healthiest flavor water packets that you can find for kids, and my kids love the taste of them!

My kids favorite water packets! Also healthy!

10. A Large Tote or Diaper Bag to Carry It All

I personally always have a diaper bag with me because I have toddler twins, and I always carry them an extra pair of clothes just in case there’s any accidents. It also doubles as my lunch box, first aid kit, and whatever else you want to call it because I carry all of it in this one bag!

Twin sized diaper bag

I’ve been using this same backpack for 3.5 years now and it’s still going strong! Great quality, plenty of space, and it zips down smaller when you’re ready to start carrying less! Highly recommend!

If you don’t currently have toddlers, I know a lot of the other ballpark moms love their bog bags! I will probably get myself one once we’re ready to ditch the diaper bag!

Bogg Bag

these are super cute and most of the baseball moms carry one due to space and quality of the bag!
